RGDSN’s Big Shiny Night at Denim & Diamonds

Our fourth annual Denim & Diamonds was held April 12 at Sheraton Uptown, celebrating the Down syndrome community and raising more than $220,000 which will directly impact our network of families across northern New Mexico.

This money will amplify our programming starting with an adaptive bike camp this summer, inclusive sport leagues, fitness classes, opportunities for continued exposure to the arts like dance and music. It will also support future scholarship recipients; motivated individuals like Jessica Silva, whose beautiful photography was displayed in this year's auction. And, Brandon Halfacre, this year's scholarship recipient who will be starting public speaking courses after his high school graduation this May.  

 This year's theme was "Grand Ole Gala" a nod to classic country music and everything from our stage to signature cocktail was sprinkled with Opry flair. The night included a live and silent auction, dinner, a performance from the Lucky Few Dance Crew, hat branding from Hat Tatt Co., live music from Tim Styles and Back in the Saddle, plus plenty of dancing and celebration!
