2025 Buddy Walk

Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered and walked in our 2025 Rio Grande Down Syndrome Network Buddy Walk® on September 20 at Expo New Mexico/NM State Fairgrounds! Your support and participation made the day unforgettable.

Did you know….

• Together, we raised more than $104,000 in financial and in-kind donations—surpassing our fundraising goal and fueling programs that empower our community.
• We also surpassed our registration goal, welcoming more than 1,060 walkers who showed their support at the Buddy Walk (this does not include day-of registrations).
• Groups from 5 high schools, 1 club soccer team, and 1 dance studio volunteered and participated in the event.
• We had 76 registered teams join us.
• This was the first-ever evening Buddy Walk, making it easier for families to attend around sports and other daytime activities.
• We extended the event time so everyone could enjoy more games, music, food, and fun.
• The Buddy Walk featured the very first inflation of the brand-new RGDSN Lucky Few hot air balloon, and this was our first time having a balloon glow.
