Desert Dancing at our 2026 Denim & Diamonds Gala

Thanks to the generous outpouring of support shown for our community, Denim & Diamonds raised more than $180,000 which will directly impact our network of more than 450 families across northern New Mexico.

The Gala was held May 2, 2026 at Sandia Resort and Casino. This year's theme Desert Dancing brought festival vibes and country flair to our 5th annual event. The event included live and silent auction, a wine lasso, cocktail hour with DJ Spunjy Hicks, live music and dancing with Back in the Saddle and delicious dinner and drinks under glistening disco balls.

Members of our community were represented throughout our program including Brandon Halfacre helping open the program and introduce our Master of Ceremonies, Nancy Gilpatrick singing the National Anthem, Nicholas Lucero leading the Pledge of Allegiance and Jessica Silva auctioning off her photograph on cavas during our live auction.

Our 321 Dance Crew brought an incredible performance and got attendees on their feet! We also awarded a post-secondary scholarship to Sage Bernard for her tuition to Jeremiah's Place. Attendees got a glimpse at just how amazing our loved ones with Down syndrome are, all that they are capable of.

The money raised will go directly to advancing programs and resouces for our community. A special thank you to Sasha Lenninger our Master of Ceremonies, our event sponsors, silent auction donors and all of those who helped make the night sparkle!
