My name is Gay Romero, from Santa Fe, and I have a teenager with Down Syndrome. I am a Grassroots Ambassador with the NDSS and received this request from that program for responses to an employment survey they are conducting. If you know of members who have family members who are 18 years old or older, please send this information to them. Thanks very much for any assistance in this matter!
My daughter and I would like to attend the Buddy Walk on Washington in April to learn more about how to advocate with lawmakers about issues important to people with DS. If you know of any sources of funding for this trip, please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it!
HELP IMPROVE EMPLOYMENT OPTIONS FOR PEOPLE WITH DOWN SYNDROME!
NDSS invites people with Down syndrome, age 18 and over, to participate in an employment survey before the end of December. The survey is part of NDSS’ employment initiative, #DSWORKS™, which aims to increase the number of opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome to work in meaningful and competitive employment settings. To guide this initiative, we need information about the experiences of people with Down syndrome who are employed or trying to enter the workforce. You are receiving this message because we need responses from your state. We urge people with Down syndrome who are age 18 and over to take 10-15 minutes to complete the survey, and we ask others to spread the word about the survey.
Questions may be sent to NDSS #DSWORKS™ Program Manager Camille Franco at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for your support!
